ABOUT DR. BAI
Dr. Peng Bai is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with more than a decade of experience helping patients overcome debilitating spine and joint conditions. His fellowship training in Interventional Spine & Pain at OrthoCarolina in Winston-Salem equipped him with an advanced, precision-focused skill set that he brings to every procedure and patient encounter at Resolution Spine and Joint.
Dr. Bai co-founded RSJ alongside Dr. Schmidt with a shared conviction: that patients in the Triangle region deserved better, faster access to expert care, a physician who genuinely listens, and treatment plans built around the individual rather than a protocol. At RSJ, that vision is realized every day.
What sets Dr. Bai apart is his rare combination of technical mastery and genuine warmth. Patients consistently describe him as down-to-earth, approachable, and thorough, a physician who takes the time to understand not just the diagnosis, but the person behind it. He is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of his field, blending cutting-edge treatments with the kind of old-fashioned bedside manner that is increasingly hard to find.
Dr. Bai’s expertise extends well beyond the exam room. He is nationally recognized by the North American Spine Society (NASS), where he serves as a clinical instructor and co-chair of the Coding Committee, a testament to the respect his peers hold for his clinical knowledge and leadership in the field.
BEYOND THE CLINIC
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Bai loves exploring the Raleigh restaurant scene and spending quality time with his wife and three children.
